Axis Earthworx handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Small businesses are not always bound by the Act, but Axis Earthworx has chosen to follow the APPs as a matter of practice.

What personal information is collected
Information you give us through the enquiry form. The enquiry form on this website collects:

- Whatever you choose to tell us in the "Tell us about your project" field
Information collected when you call. If you call the number shown on this website, that call is routed through a call tracking system. The number you called from, the time and duration of the call, and whether the call connected are recorded so that Axis Earthworx knows which enquiries came from the website. Calls may be recorded for quality and record keeping. If a call is being recorded you will be told at the start of the call, and you can ask for the recording to stop.
Information collected automatically. When you visit this website, analytics software collects technical and usage information such as the pages you view, how long you spend on them, the approximate location your visit came from (city or region level, derived from your IP address), the type of device and browser you are using, and the website or search that referred you. This information is used in aggregate to understand how the site performs. It is only collected if you accept analytics cookies. See the Cookie Policy for detail.
Information Axis Earthworx does not collect through this website. This website does not take payments, so no credit card, debit card or bank details are collected here. Axis Earthworx does not ask for, and does not want, sensitive information as defined in the Privacy Act (for example health information, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs or sexual orientation). Please do not include information like that in an enquiry.
Why the information is collected and how it is used
Personal information you provide is used to:
- Respond to your enquiry and arrange a site visit or a call back.
- Prepare and send you a quote.
- Carry out and manage work you engage Axis Earthworx to do, including coordinating materials and any associated trades such as concreters.
- Keep records of quotes, jobs and communications, including for insurance and tax purposes.
- Follow up on a quote you have not responded to, or on a job that has been completed.
- Understand which parts of the website generate enquiries, so the site can be improved.
Axis Earthworx does not sell personal information. Axis Earthworx does not use your information for unrelated marketing, and does not add you to a marketing list without your consent. If you ever do consent to receive marketing messages, every message will include a way to opt out, and opting out takes effect promptly.

These providers are engaged to perform services for Axis Earthworx, and they are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes beyond what is needed to provide those services. Because some of them store data outside Australia, your information may be held overseas. Axis Earthworx takes reasonable steps to use reputable providers, but cannot control the laws of every country in which a provider operates.
Trades and suppliers on your job. If Axis Earthworx needs to bring in another trade or a supplier to complete work for you (for example a concreter, or a materials supplier delivering to your property), the minimum necessary details are shared, typically your name, your phone number and the site address.
Where the law requires it. Information may be disclosed if required or authorised by law, by a court or tribunal, or where it is reasonably necessary to protect someone's safety or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Information is deleted or de-identified once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected, unless a law requires it to be kept longer.
How information is protected
Axis Earthworx takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. In practice that means access to the CRM is restricted to the owner and to Bright Path Creative as the administrator, accounts are protected by strong passwords and multi factor authentication where the platform supports it, the website is served over HTTPS so information submitted through the form is encrypted in transit, and paper notes taken on site are kept secure and destroyed once transferred into the CRM.
No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, Axis Earthworx will respond in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act, which includes notifying affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where required.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask for a copy of the personal information Axis Earthworx holds about you, and you can ask for it to be corrected if it is wrong, out of date or incomplete. Requests are made through the contact form. Please give enough detail to identify your enquiry, such as the phone number or suburb you provided.
Requests are answered within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request. If access has to be refused, which is rare and only happens where the Privacy Act allows it, you will be told the reason in writing.
You can also ask for your information to be deleted. Axis Earthworx will delete it unless it needs to be kept to meet a legal obligation, for example a job record inside the seven year tax retention period, or where it is needed for a current or anticipated legal claim.
Third party links
This website may link to other websites, such as the Axis Earthworx Google Business Profile. Those sites have their own privacy policies and Axis Earthworx is not responsible for how they handle your information.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and Axis Earthworx does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 15. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, get in touch through the contact form and it will be deleted.
Complaints
If you think Axis Earthworx has mishandled your personal information or breached the Australian Privacy Principles, raise it first through the contact form, marking your message as a privacy complaint. Complaints are acknowledged within 5 business days and answered in writing within 30 days.
